Every project we take on comes with a different set of parameters that we engage when we create solutions for our clients. Each approach is unique, each solution is unique, and each client is unique for us. We strive to create both lasting results and lasting relationships.

We Provide 4 Areas of Service

Consulting

We help companies connect with their customers and employees.

We create exceptional experiences. We diagnose pain points, innovate and improve products and services, and engage employees to be active participants in service delivery and corporate culture.

Design

We design with intention.

We translate strategic objectives into products, services and communications that are useful, usable and desirable. We design B2B and B2C communications, interfaces of web sites and mobile apps, and more. We align business goals with end user needs, and do so in a way that is distinctive and engaging.

ARCHITECTURE + INTERIORS

We understand how people interact with places.

Our approach marries theory and practicality so as to push boundaries and deliver results. We have extensive experience in the hotel and tourism sectors as owners, architects and developers; the insights from those roles directly influence the work we undertake.

4xN LABS

We follow our instincts and nurture our passions.

We innovate, explore and invest. We devote a percentage of our time to ventures developed in house and with select partners. This lets us flex our creative muscles and better empathize with our clients’ business realities. See our latest venture building project>

On Our Minds

Professional Nesting

Professional Nesting

I did all the rituals common to soon-to-be parents: showers, shopping, organizing, planning. But while I was flooded with the urge to prepare for my young one, I was equally filled with the urge to nurture something else: my career. Perhaps it’s because my generation has been inundated on whether women can, in fact, have…

UPDATE: 5 Ways to Survive 2017

Don’t dwell on the negative. If there was ever a time this was true, it’s this year. Whether it’s in your business or in your personal life, don’t let a failure color your entire year. So you sent a newsletter that had an abysmal open rate. Open up those analytics, look at what people did…

What We Learned So You Don’t Have To (P2)

PART TWO 6. Build your email list. BUILD IT. If there is ONE THING you should take away from this is: Build. Your. Email. List. Email continues to be one of THE MOST EFFECTIVE marketing channels available. When a Facebook ad CTR hovers well below 1% across the globe, 25% of people still open emails, not…

What We Learned So You Don’t Have To (P1)

PART ONE One of the benefits of working with an outside consultant is that you have the luxury of pulling from their experience. Usually, this is deep knowledge gained from working on a large volume of projects over a long period time. The past year of booting up Floorplan Rugs deepened our existing knowledge and also…

When Service Design Meets Real Estate

When Service Design Meets Real Estate

What better topic for us to address than the collision of tech-based service design and real estate development, especially when we are living in a city seeing a tremendous spike in home prices, right at the same time short term rentals are increasing? This is a subject we plan to dive in deep, but for now,…

Saying Goodbye to an Icon

When any great practitioner passes — especially suddently — it gives us a moment of pause (and probably fear) to reflect on the true import of their work and the impermanence of life. It was just a few weeks ago that I was embroiled in a conversation about feminism and professionalism, particularly in male-dominant fields,…
